The Centaur's Apprentice
At last, the drawings are back! It is a hell for my hand, but I am trying to control myself. Unfortunately this is partly for school, even though the ideas are my own, and I need to hand in five of these by Friday, which I have no chance to do. We'll see how far I get. Anyways, this time I am trying a new technique. I am using a dipping pen and ink in a bottle to do this, and it is my first drawing trying it out, so it is quite exciting!

 Thank you for the good luck wishes. Although, I must admit I did not start any of the others yet, I barely have an idea about them. Right now I am reading for a test tomorrow, and I have another hand-in I need to get done by thursday at the latest. I am scared to the bone! But for some reason, things always seem to work out in the end. So I will just cross my fingers. Glad you like the drawing!

Sexual? How so? Indeed, there is always something sexual in all my pieces, I guess, because it is fundamental to the human mind and human existence. Without sexuality, there would be no mankind. How do you experience this particular piece as sexual, though? You've incorporated ideas from earlier studies and the marks are sensitive with good variation of line weight. It gives the work a nice sense of space. You have too much to do. School is like that sometimes. It's part of the game, but I think you'll work it out.

Cheers Otto The horse as the symbol of strengh in union with a male body is one of the strongest symbols for potency I suppose. Furthermore the fusion of their hair, that becomes one single mass in the left upper corner is a symbol for the act itself and the arrow also can be interpreted as phallus-symbol ...
